Hey readers,

Here is my loooong overdue mini haul post that I promised. I decided not to include the lipsticks I purchased because I plan to make a post separately for them as soon as possible.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect purple nail polish since forever. Essie's 'Play Date' is everything to me right now. It's sort of a bright pastel purple that has a slight neon look to it (if that makes sense). I'm currently wearing it on my toes, and you better believe I'll be repolishing with the same colour soon.

All you have to apply is two coats, absolutely no more, and it will be perfect for you. I had no problems with application (who does with Essie though?), as it went on very smooth. It looks nice and shiny even without a top coat! Definitely a unique colour to add to your collection!

Next on my list is L'Oreal's True Match Liquid Foundation. They have so many shades to choose from, you won't have any difficulties finding your match. I've had experiences with 2 brands of liquid makeup in the past and it was awful. My skin would just always break out no matter how much I cleansed before and after applying and removing. I've had no bad experiences with this just yet, thankfully.

When I tested out the shades at the time, n6.5 (golden beige) was perfect for me. However, I think I would do well with one that is a teeny bit little lighter, but for now, this works fine. Nothing too significant.

The consistency is very lightweight. It's not too thin, but not too creamy either. The texture makes it very easy to blend - one of the things I love about this product. That means I don't have to spend forever trying to get it right. It's almost like it does the work for you. It gives a medium coverage which is buildable, and because it's so light, you won't have to worry about that cakey look. Natural looking makeup? Thumbs up!

Does it last? I've taken the test and it does. Well, for about 8 hours that is (with a primer), and about 6 hours without. Not bad! It also transfers a bit too easily, so it's important to set it if you're worried about it rubbing off on your clothes.

There's one thing I absolutely hate about this though, and it's the fact that there is no pump (the American models I've heard. No idea why though). Therefore, I end up using too much at times because I have no control.

Overall it's a good product & I would recommend, especially since it's not hard on the pockets. Worth a try!

Just some info, REAL BB creams (the Asian ones) are totally different from these tinted moisturizers that claim to be a BB cream. This one I picked up is Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector. However, this is just a plain ol' tinted moisturizer!

What makes it 8-in-1:
  • Blurs imperfections
  • Brightens
  • Evens skin tone
  • Smooths
  • Hydrates
  • Enhances
  • Protects with SPF 30
  • 0% oils and heavy ingredients
The product comes in five different shades: Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Medium/Deep, and Deep. I use the medium sheer tint. It provides a very light coverage, so if you have any imperfections, you'll definitely be needing your regular concealer.

As for the formula, it is not up my street. It's so thin and liquidy, as soon as I try to pour a little, it spews right out. You have to be very careful! It's not the hardest thing to apply though - you just need to use a little and use your fingers. In this case, a little really does go a long way.

There is not much staying power either as it wears away very easily, even with just a drop of sweat.  It does contain SPF 30, which provides protection from the sun’s damaging UV rays. The directions says to reapply every two hours. I'm assuming this is to protect your skin from the sun as much as possible, and also to keep the coverage you began with.

I don't have flawless skin, so I cannot use this just by itself. I've found that it makes an excellent base for my makeup, so that's how I throw this in my daily makeup routine.

I'm not sure I would purchase this again until my skin clears up, but I would recommend it for any female who doesn't have that much imperfections she wishes to cover up.
